ESPOL’s School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) brought a selection of projects developed by its students to Manzana 14 as part of “Espacios ADC Itinerantes,” an initiative that seeks to bring design projects developed in an academic setting to other venues and audiences throughout the city.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL recognized the winning students of the PAO 2026-1 Poster Competition, a contest held each semester as part of the course “Applied Research in Design.”

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) presented “La clase muerta,” a theatrical and performative exercise inspired by the work of Polish playwright and director Tadeusz Kantor, developed by students in the Acting course under the direction of instructor Rafael Santi.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL hosted the educational concert “Nuances of the 19th Century: From Chopin to Debussy,” a piano recital featuring the young pianist José Zurita Pinos, who performed a challenging repertoire of classical composers under the direction of his father, Roberto Zurita del Pozo, M.Sc., a professor at FADCOM.

As part of its commitment to arts education and access to creative experiences, the Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) organized the Atrios Stop-Motion Workshop, a one-day event aimed at young people on the autism spectrum, who explored the basic principles of frame-by-frame animation through hands-on visual storytelling activities.

Part of its commitment to community engagement and the promotion of the creative industries, ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) is running a practical workshop for pupils at the Baltasara School.

The Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), through its Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM), implemented the third phase of the project ‘Popular graphics and visual thinking as allies of learning’, an initiative that consolidates an educational approach in which creativity, cultural identity and pedagogical innovation move beyond mere rhetoric to become a reality.

The project focused on the implementation and validation of educational technology tools—such as mobile apps, digital resources, and pictogram-based teaching materials—designed to facilitate learning for children and adolescents with disabilities.

On Thursday, February 12, ESPOL held The Final Pitch, an institutional event that brings together the best projects from all faculties to conclude the Integrative Subject process.

On Thursday, January 22, the play “La Casa del Qué dirán,” by Guayaquil-based playwright José Martínez Queirolo, was performed under the direction of professor Rafael Santi.
