A Charm Adorns Your Face: Explorations of the Portrait

Un encanto adorna tu rostro: exploraciones del retrato

FADCOM students present the exhibition “A Charm Adorns Your Face,” created as part of the Drawing II course under the guidance of Professor Alla Kondratova. The exhibition brings together a series of portraits focused on identity, human expression, and each student’s personal perspective. Through various graphic techniques, the works explore the possibilities of portraiture as one of the genres that has accompanied artistic practice throughout history.

Techniques such as graphite, charcoal, chalk, and colored pencils were used to create the pieces, allowing students to experiment with different ways of representing the subjects’ features, expressions, and characteristics. This academic exercise enabled students to develop their observation and representation skills while exploring various expressive possibilities to construct a personal interpretation of the human face.
