The ninth edition of the FADCOM–ESPOL Product Design Symposium brought together academia, the business sector, and professionals to reflect on the possibilities of designing, innovating, and creating value from Ecuador.

The School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL held the semifinals of its 5MinPitch on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1, 2026. During this stage, participating projects were evaluated through a short presentation format, with a focus on the participants’ ability to communicate and defend their proposals clearly and effectively.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL recognized the winning students of the PAO 2026-1 Poster Competition, a contest held each semester as part of the course “Applied Research in Design.”

The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL presents ‘El Gran Otro’, a new exhibition of projects developed as part of the ‘Artistic Laboratory’ module on the Master’s in Art and Technology programme, curated by Cristian Villavicencio, a lecturer on the module and an artist featured in the exhibition. The exhibition is being held in FADCOM’s refurbished ADC1 space.

The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL presents the exhibition “Audiovisual Research”, an academic exhibition that demonstrates how research in different fields of knowledge can serve as raw material for filmmaking.

The School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM), the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FIEC), and the School of Life Sciences (FCV) at ESPOL developed a training and experimentation program focused on the design and development of video games with an environmental focus, in which 20 students from the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades of Basic General Education at the Hermano Francisco Gárate School.
