José Zurita Pinos gave a piano recital at FADCOM featuring a repertoire of works by great composers
The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL hosted the educational concert “Nuances of the 19th Century: From Chopin to Debussy,” a piano recital featuring the young pianist José Zurita Pinos, who performed a challenging repertoire of classical composers under the direction of his father, Roberto Zurita del Pozo, M.Sc., a professor at FADCOM.
The ESPOL Central Library is hosting the exhibition ‘Encounters on Canvas and Paper’
In July 2026, ESPOL’s Central Library was transformed into an art space with the exhibition “Encounters on Canvas and Paper”, a show showcasing the academic work produced in the third parallel section of the Painting Techniques course, taught by lecturer Daniel Castelo at the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM).
Popular Art and Visual Thinking: When Culture Becomes an Educational Methodology
The Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), through its Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM), implemented the third phase of the project ‘Popular graphics and visual thinking as allies of learning’, an initiative that consolidates an educational approach in which creativity, cultural identity and pedagogical innovation move beyond mere rhetoric to become a reality.
FADCOM promotes the preservation of ancestral knowledge through design and community art
As part of its commitment to social engagement, ESPOL, through FADCOM and in collaboration with various faculties, carried out Phase III of the project “Development of Ancestral Knowledge through Community Design and Art (SADA)” during the 2025–2026 period, with the goal of integrating the artisanal heritage of the Santa Elena Peninsula.
