On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the fourth edition of the International Congress of Researchers in Audiovisual Communication and Information Technology (CIICATI 2025) was held in a blended format at FADCOM and broadcast online.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL experienced two intense days of inspiration and creativity with VÓRTICE 2025, its eagerly awaited international design and audiovisual communication event.

On October 18 and 19, 2025, ESPOL's Las Peñas campus hosted Game Jam Plus 2025, an international event that brought together young creatives, developers, and video game enthusiasts for an experience focused on innovation, collaboration, and learning.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL and the Guayaquil Higher Technological Institute (ITSG) held a photography talk and workshop with the aim of strengthening the visual and creative skills of ITSG students through a guided practical experience.

The ESPOL 2025 Open House brought together more than 4,000 high school students from four provinces in Ecuador, who visited the university's different faculties. The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) opened the doors of its laboratories, workshops, and galleries to share its creative essence and academic offerings with young people.

On August 8, the first edition of PRISMA took place, an interdisciplinary workshop that brought together students, teachers, and business representatives in a space for creativity and collaboration.

ESPOL positioned itself as a key institution within the publishing ecosystem of the region during the V Latin American Congress of Scientific Journal Editors and Researchers, thanks to the outstanding participation of its scientific publications: the journal Ñawi - Arte, Diseño y Comunicación, belonging to the Faculty of Art, Design and Communication (FADCOM), and the Revista Tecnológica ESPOL (RTE), the university's institutional publication.

On Friday, May 16th, the Faculty of Art, Design and Communication (FADCOM) of the ESPOL received the official visit of a delegation of the Ecuadorian Association of Plastic Artists (ASEPLAS), headed by its president, Eng. Jorge Luis Mórtola. It was a first institutional rapprochement between both entities with a view to future collaborations.

Teachers from the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) and the Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences (FCSH) participated in a training day aimed at strengthening their teaching practices from an inclusive approach and with sustainable evaluation methods.

On Friday, March 21, a delegation from the University of the Arts (UARTES), headed by its rector and various academic authorities, visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL.
