Andrea Pino, part of the academic team of the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of the ESPOL, successfully completed the Doctoral Programme in Art: Production and Research, obtaining the title of Doctor of Art with Cum Laude mention, a recognition reserved for doctoral theses of academic excellence.

On Friday, May 16th, the Faculty of Art, Design and Communication (FADCOM) of the ESPOL received the official visit of a delegation of the Ecuadorian Association of Plastic Artists (ASEPLAS), headed by its president, Eng. Jorge Luis Mórtola. It was a first institutional rapprochement between both entities with a view to future collaborations.

On Friday, March 21, a delegation from the University of the Arts (UARTES), headed by its rector and various academic authorities, visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL.

The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL received the visit of a delegation from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Guayaquil (UG), with the aim of strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for academic and institutional cooperation.

On January 13, 2025, the final of the 5MinPitch of the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took place. This event brought together the finalist projects of the Product Design, Graphic Design and Media Production careers, who presented innovative proposals focused on solving social and educational problems.

The School of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL experienced two days full of creativity and entrepreneurship during the semifinal of the #5MinPitch, an event that took place on January 29 and 30 as part of the Ordinary Academic Period (PAO) 2024-2.

"Anemoia" is a science fiction stop-motion animated short film developed by FADCOM alumni Kennia Rosales and Nixon Ronquillo as part of their capstone project. The work was awarded at the II International Film Festival of Santa Elena, an event that brings together outstanding talents from Ecuadorian and international cinema. 02/12/2024
