The exhibition “From Concept to print” brings together a selection of works created by students in the Printing Techniques course, under the guidance of professors Antonio Moncayo and Franklin Guadalupe, and demonstrates how a graphic design can be translated from a two-dimensional format into various products and objects. The exhibition, located in the ADC 1 space at FADCOM–ESPOL, features two groups of works.
The first consists of T-shirts and bags printed using the DTF (Direct to Film) technique. The designs address different interests and communication objectives: ranging from personal brands and projects linked to small and medium-sized businesses to references to music, identity, culture, and other topics of interest to the students. The second group consists of sublimation-printed ceramic mugs, in which the students adapted their graphic designs to an everyday object. In this way, the design is no longer limited to a two-dimensional surface and is incorporated into products with specific characteristics, materials, and shapes.

The process allows students to experiment with the technical possibilities of different printing systems and make decisions regarding composition, visual identity, materials, and graphic reproduction. The exhibition is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in ADC 1. The pieces showcase the results of a hands-on learning process in which concept and technique come together to bring design proposals to life across various media.
