On July 28, students from the School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated in the ESPOL Mini-Business Fair, an initiative held on the Gustavo Galindo Velasco campus that promotes entrepreneurship and allows college students to put their business ideas into practice in a real-world setting.

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took its “Alquimia Plástica – Tapatón” project to the international stage during the University of Palermo’s International Design Week, where students and the Department of Communication presented a proposal demonstrating how design, popular culture, and gamification can strengthen student participation in sustainability initiatives.

The School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated in the presentation of the 2026 ESPOL High School Rankings, an institutional initiative that recognizes high schools whose students stood out for their participation, academic performance, and admission to the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) celebrates the international recognition earned by its faculty members Roberto Zurita, Marcelo Báez, and Elizabeth Elizalde, who received iPER/iPEER certification, an international standard that recognizes excellence in university teaching and a commitment to continuous improvement.

La Facultad de Arte, Diseño y Comunicación Audiovisual (FADCOM) de ESPOL desarrolló la charla "Del concepto al presupuesto: gestión y planificación de proyectos audiovisuales", un espacio académico dirigido por el alumni Richard Onofre, productor ejecutivo, Lead Multimedia Producer & Filmmaker en Breinjart ADGency, quien compartió herramientas y experiencias sobre la gestión profesional de producciones audiovisuales

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) held another edition of Arte Malo ESPOL, a contest that celebrates humor, spontaneity, and creativity from a different perspective, symbolically awarding prizes to the “worst” works of art from the polytechnic community.

Students on the Digital Photography course at the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took part in an academic seminar focusing on the analysis of Generative Artificial Intelligence and its impact on contemporary photography, alongside lecturer and researcher Karen Vinueza.

With the goal of strengthening its students’ professional skills, FADCOM held a training session focused on employability, which covered key aspects of successfully navigating a job interview and projecting a professional image.

On 13 July, the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) held the first edition of the Audiovisual Exhibition: Alumni 2026 Inclusive Shorts, an event that brought together graduates of the Media Production degree programme to share with the public the audiovisual projects they had developed during their studies.

With the aim of complementing students’ practical training in audiovisual production and photography, FADCOM organised the Media Make-up Workshop on 10 July, aimed at students taking the courses ‘Photography for the Media’ and ‘Audiovisual Production’, taught by lecturer Ronald Villafuerte.
