FADCOM students come up with new stories at the exhibition ‘Experiments in Creativity and Film Poster Design’
The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) presents the exhibition ‘Experiments in Creativity and Film Poster Design’, a showcase of projects developed by students on the Illustration Workshop course, who have transformed original ideas into visual concepts capable of bringing to life films that exist only in the imagination.

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) officially launched FADCOM+, its new YouTube channel—a platform for original content focused on entertainment, culture, and contemporary audiovisual production. This initiative aims to introduce the community to new digital formats while strengthening students’ practical training in real-world production settings.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL hosted the educational concert “Nuances of the 19th Century: From Chopin to Debussy,” a piano recital featuring the young pianist José Zurita Pinos, who performed a challenging repertoire of classical composers under the direction of his father, Roberto Zurita del Pozo, M.Sc., a professor at FADCOM.
The ESPOL Central Library is hosting the exhibition ‘Encounters on Canvas and Paper’
In July 2026, ESPOL’s Central Library was transformed into an art space with the exhibition “Encounters on Canvas and Paper”, a show showcasing the academic work produced in the third parallel section of the Painting Techniques course, taught by lecturer Daniel Castelo at the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM).
FADCOM Promotes Creativity and Inclusion with a Stop-Motion Workshop at the Motion Lab
As part of its commitment to arts education and access to creative experiences, the Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) organized the Atrios Stop-Motion Workshop, a one-day event aimed at young people on the autism spectrum, who explored the basic principles of frame-by-frame animation through hands-on visual storytelling activities.
FADCOM Students Promote Entrepreneurship Through Their Projects at the ESPOL Mini-Business Fair
On July 28, students from the School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated in the ESPOL Mini-Business Fair, an initiative held on the Gustavo Galindo Velasco campus that promotes entrepreneurship and allows college students to put their business ideas into practice in a real-world setting.
FADCOM Students and Staff Present the Tapatón at an International Design Conference
ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took its “Alquimia Plástica – Tapatón” project to the international stage during the University of Palermo’s International Design Week, where students and the Department of Communication presented a proposal demonstrating how design, popular culture, and gamification can strengthen student participation in sustainability initiatives.
