The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication presents “Surfing Coastal Archetypes,” an exhibition created by students in the Graphic Design 1 course during PAO I-2026, under the guidance of Professor Mónica Robles.

The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) presented ArtiFauna, an exhibition created by students on the Design Theory course, which reinterprets the natural wealth of the La Prosperina Protected Forest through sculptures made from recycled materials.

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took its “Alquimia Plástica – Tapatón” project to the international stage during the University of Palermo’s International Design Week, where students and the Department of Communication presented a proposal demonstrating how design, popular culture, and gamification can strengthen student participation in sustainability initiatives.

The Multiformat Creative Services Center at ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated in SOSTENIA by ESPOL with an innovative booth built primarily out of cardboard, demonstrating how design can become a tool for driving sustainable, high-impact solutions.

On 9 July, ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) held the latest edition of the Tapatón, a day dedicated to sustainability and community involvement that brought together more than 1,000 members of the polytechnic community with the aim of promoting the recycling of plastic bottle caps and raising environmental awareness.

On Thursday, February 12, ESPOL held The Final Pitch, an institutional event that brings together the best projects from all faculties to conclude the Integrative Subject process.

The exhibition titled “Musicians of the Guayaquil Museum of Popular Music,” marking the conclusion of the project developed in the Graphic Design 1 course, taught by Mónica Robles.

The PAO 2025 II Poster Contest—Bachelor’s Program took place on January 23, 2026, as part of the “Applied Design Research” course, which was conducted in three parallel groups.

On November 21, 2025, the Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL held a new edition of SHAPES, a gathering that brought together professionals, faculty members, students, and industry stakeholders to reflect on design, creativity, production processes, and market trends.
