A delegation from FADCOM–ESPOL took part in the 82nd NASAD Annual Meeting in the United States to exchange experiences on curricular innovation, artificial intelligence, academic quality and links with industry, with a view to strengthening education in art and design.

FADCOM faculty members Ariana García, Edgar Jiménez, and Víctor Cantos participated in the iPR Summit, an international conference on public relations, strategic communication, and marketing, where they exchanged knowledge and experiences with professionals from Latin America and the United States.

Paola Ulloa, a member of the FADCOM academic staff, is undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship in São Paulo, Brazil, to research the social media communication strategies of Latin American governments, thereby strengthening academic exchange and international collaboration.

Michael Arce undertook a research placement at the UDA as part of the Osi-Aprende Phase II project, bringing the social robot developed at ESPOL to CEIAP to carry out tests in a real educational environment and make progress with the validation of the prototype.

The Food Hall on the ground floor of the San Marino Shopping Centre in Guayaquil is hosting the exhibition ‘Destination: New York, in Black and White’ for two weeks. Curated by FADCOM lecturer Daniel Castelo, the exhibition brings together ten photographs depicting everyday life, the contrasts and the different ways of experiencing one of the most photographed cities in the world.

Representatives from ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took part in the 2026 Business and Society Summit, an event that brought together representatives from the business sector, social organisations, academia, international cooperation bodies and the media to explore opportunities for collaboration and social investment in Guayaquil.

The ESPOL Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) presents the exhibition “The Constructed Image: Schemes and Representation Between Drawing and Painting,” a show featuring works created by students in the Drawing II and Painting Techniques courses this semester.

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) served as a venue for the Guayaquil International Film Festival (Festicine Guayaquil) for the first time, as part of its 12th edition, organized by the FestiCineGye Foundation. Over the course of two days, the university community had the opportunity to explore a variety of cinematic works and participate in discussions about audiovisual creation.

ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) hosted the LAB-CONNECT ESPOL lab and workshop tour, an institutional initiative organized by the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) and supported by the Office of the President, which aims to highlight the technological, academic, and infrastructure capabilities of the university’s specialized facilities.

The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL held a special closing event for the “Portfolio” course in the Product Design program, featuring professionals from the national creative sector.
