The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL held a talk entitled “Scientific Narrative in the Transmedia Universe,” given by journalist and science communicator María Cecilia Moreno, who shared with the academic community his experience in transforming scientific knowledge into visually appealing, dynamic, and accessible content.

During the conference, Moreno reflected on the challenges of communicating science in the age of infinite scrolling, highlighting the importance of connecting with audiences through emotion and creativity, without losing the rigor of knowledge. The speaker presented examples of communication practices that integrate digital platforms, visual narratives, and transmedia strategies to bring science to wider audiences.
