The Dean of the School of Design, Art and Communication of ESPOL, Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., participated as a speaker at the Forum: Powerful and Capable Women. Held in Manta, Ecuador, on March 8, 2024, as part of International Women's Day.
Dr. Solórzano shared her personal and professional experience as a woman leader in academia and business, highlighting the importance of education and technology for the development of new generations.
During her speech she mentioned her beginnings as a professional in Information Systems and Technologies, the creation of technology companies and her experience as a teacher and researcher at ESPOL. She shared her experience as a woman in a field where the male gender predominates, highlighting the importance of the struggle for equal opportunities based on knowledge and persistence.
She highlighted her passion, work and commitment to quality and inclusive education, especially for children and youth, areas in which her projects that use science, art and technology to improve access to education and promote inclusion stand out, whose work has been awarded and recognized internationally with nominations as Ambassador of Peace of the Americas and the investiture of Doctorate Honoris Causa.
Dr. Solórzano's participation in the Forum: Powerful and Capable Women was an opportunity to inspire other women and share her vision for the future of education and technology.
