Students enrolled in the Printing Techniques course, from parallel classes 1 and 2, under the guidance of professor Antonio Moncayo, participated in an academic visit to the ESPOL Printing Press as part of their training process. The activity allowed them to transfer their classroom designs to a real graphic production environment, closing the cycle between creation and reproduction.
The visit took place as an on-site experience, where students were able to observe and understand how the designs they produce in class are technically reproduced in a professional context. This direct approach allowed them to encounter the real standards of quality, precision, and control that are characteristic of industrial printing processes.
This activity reinforces key skills for professional practice: ethics, by working exclusively with original images created by the students themselves; conscious use of technology, understanding that it is not only found in software, but also in the physical processes of reproduction; and rigor and detail, which are fundamental in an industry where a mistake means redoing the entire process, with real economic impact.
FADCOM believes that these types of experiences strengthen the comprehensive training of students, connecting theory, practice, and professional reality. Design with discernment, processes with responsibility, and learning with both feet firmly planted in the real world.
