During the Extraordinary Academic Period (PAE) 2025, the Faculty of Art, Design and Communication (FADCOM) developed a rich agenda of workshops for its teachers. These activities focused on updating technical knowledge, exploring new digital platforms, and reinforcing key competencies for teaching and academic research.

Teachers actively participated in practical workshops such as the CO2 Laser Cutting Fundamental, the Elementary Ceramics Workshop, the Professional Acrylics for Beginners, and the introductory modules on Photography for Social Media, Video Editing, and Industrial Safety. In addition, there were strategic workshops such as the Behance Training and the Identity Pro Workshop, focused on professional projection and the documentation of teaching portfolios and student projects.
The agenda also included spaces for academic reflection, such as the Research Itinerary discussion led by the Research Coordination, and the joint FADCOM-FSCH talk on Universal Design for Learning, given by guest lecturer Josie Nan Solórzano from Griffith University.

A round table discussion on intellectual property and patents was also held, organised by the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI). With this continuing education agenda, FADCOM reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation and the professional projection of its teaching staff.

Focusing on the development of those who teach is also an investment in the quality of teaching, in the transformation of learning environments and in the impact that the faculty generates from the classroom to the world.
