The FADCOM ADC 01 Outdoor Gallery presents ‘Module, Repetition and Movement’, an exhibition bringing together painting exercises produced by students on the Painting Techniques course during the PAO II-2025 term, under the guidance of Professor Billy Soto, Ph.D.

The exhibition explores the possibilities of acrylic painting on canvas through the construction and repetition of a module as a visual unit. In each exercise, the students worked with 45 × 35 cm formats and experimented with progressive variations in scale, scaling up small forms to larger dimensions.

Through this process, repetition becomes a tool for building rhythm, structure, tension, continuity and contrast. The gradual transformation of the module animates the pictorial surface and demonstrates how an elementary form can become a visual system capable of generating a sense of dynamism and movement.

The exhibition brings together the work of 19 students and showcases a process of exploration in which painting techniques are interwoven with principles of composition, spatial organisation and visual perception. With this exhibition, FADCOM continues to strengthen its ADC External Galleries as spaces for showcasing academic achievements and bringing students’ work closer to the university community.
