Nebrija University invites FADCOM students to take part in the AdN 2027 International University Short Film Festival

Universidad Nebrija invita a estudiantes de FADCOM a participar en el Festival Internacional de Cortos Universitarios AdN 2027

The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL welcomed a delegation from Nebrija University in Spain, which presented the call for entries for the AdN 2027 International University Short Film Festival and invited students on the Media Production degree programme to take part in its next edition, which will feature Ecuador as the guest country.

The delegation comprised Marta Saavedra, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Arts; Gema Barón, Director of the Master’s in Luxury Marketing and Communication in Fashion and Beauty; and Carlos Jiménez, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Communication and Arts. During the meeting, they shared information about the festival and the opportunities for participation available to students from Ecuadorian universities whose institutions join the initiative.

This partnership is managed under the coordination of Ronald Villafuerte, International Mobility Co-ordinator, as part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation and create opportunities for FADCOM students to get involved. The AdN Festival is an initiative of the Faculty of Communication and Arts at Nebrija University and is recognised as Spain’s longest-running university short film festival. Its twenty-second edition will take place on 6 May 2027 at the Callao Cinemas in Madrid, with Ecuador as the guest country.

The call for entries is open to students from Ecuadorian universities whose institutions are participating in this initiative. Those interested may submit their short films until 1 March 2027. The awards include the prize for Best Short Film from the Guest Country, as well as the prize for Best Ibero-American Short Film. Taking part in this festival offers FADCOM students the opportunity to showcase their work on an international stage, discover other university audiovisual projects and broaden their experience in the field of film. This partnership between FADCOM and Nebrija University opens up opportunities for academic exchange and student participation in international initiatives related to communication and audiovisual production.
