On 22 October 2026, students from the Graphic Design and Product Design degree programmes at ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) took part in Prisma IV, a design challenge organised in collaboration with POSCA, the faculty’s partner for this year. The event brought together five teams who worked on designing display stands for the points of sale of national retail chains. The students combined their knowledge of graphic and product design to develop proposals that met the needs of the retail environment. The process was supervised by tutors Antonio Moncayo, Edgar Jiménez, María Gabriela Chica and Justine Mera.
The winning team consisted of Ariana Gabriela Lozada Rosero, José Miguel Chang Solano, Isabel Katherine Vargas Martillo and Arianna Valeria Macías Lozano. Their proposal focused on interactivity at the point of purchase and was submitted to POSCA for evaluation and possible implementation. The judging panel comprised Mónica Oyola, representative and CEO of POSCA, alongside lecturers Andrea Pino and Elizabeth Elizalde, who assessed the proposals submitted.

The event also featured the following students:
Group 1: Ailyn Alexandra Vera Gavilanes, Kristell Paulet Villegas Ruilova, Heidy Madeline Loza Briones, Medardo Angel Silva Banchón and Marlon Alexander Suquilanda Liriano.
Group 2 — Winning team: Ariana Gabriela Lozada Rosero, José Miguel Chang Solano, Isabel Katherine Vargas Martillo and Arianna Valeria Macías Lozano.

Group 5: Melany Yulexi Garrido Jimenez, Diego Andre Estevez Torres, Milena Alexandra Galindo Zambrano and Nadiaska Lissetty Carranza Toral.
Prisma IV Edition promoted interdisciplinary work and the application of knowledge in a challenge linked to the real needs of the business world. The experience enabled students to integrate graphic and product design perspectives, develop creative solutions and work on a specific brief in collaboration with a company. The activity was supported by the FADCOM Communications team and the supervising lecturers, who oversaw the day’s proceedings.
