FADCOM is strengthening its internal capabilities through workshops on graphic design and audiovisual editing

In line with its strategy of continuous improvement, the School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) at ESPOL organized a series of training workshops on basic graphic design and video editing tools, aimed at its pre-professional interns in the field of communication.

The training sessions took place on February 18, 19, and 20, with a total duration of 20 academic hours, and were designed to strengthen staff members’ technical skills in the use of key digital tools for content production. The workshops were led by M.Sc. Antonio Moncayo, who covered the fundamentals of graphic design, and M.Sc. José Luis Castro, who led the audiovisual editing module.

During the sessions, participants worked with programs from the Adobe suite, such as Illustrator and Photoshop for graphic design, and Premiere Pro and After Effects for video production. The methodology combined theory and practice, allowing attendees to apply this knowledge to real-world processes in the field of communication, such as layout design, file optimization, and the editing of graphic and audiovisual products.

These workshops were conducted with the active participation of students who collaborated with FADCOM’s communications department, with the goal of optimizing workflows, improving the quality of deliverables, and aligning the team’s capabilities with the current demands of digital communication. As a result, participants acquired practical tools for content creation and editing, strengthening their ability to develop more effective graphic designs, optimize digital resources, and improve audiovisual production processes.
