During their professional training, students on the Audiovisual Project II module of the Media Production degree programme at FADCOM – ESPOL took part in a field trip to the Teleamazonas studios, where they gained first-hand insight into how a professional television production works. The activity was organised by lecturers Víctor Cantos and Byron Cortéz, who accompanied the students on their tour of the channel’s studios.
While there, the participants watched a programme being recorded, explored the various production areas and learnt about the technical and operational processes that make it possible to produce television content. Through this experience, the students observed the coordinated work of the production, direction, programme coordination, camera, lighting and other teams involved in a professional production, enabling them to understand the dynamics of a television studio and the challenges specific to the audiovisual industry.
This type of activity reinforces the professional skills developed in the classroom by linking theoretical knowledge to real-life production scenarios. It also familiarises future professionals with the standards and demands of the audiovisual sector, contributing to a well-rounded education designed to meet the sector’s needs. Through initiatives such as this, FADCOM reaffirms its commitment to an education based on practical experience that prepares its students to tackle the challenges of the communications and audiovisual production industry.
