Patricia Caballero, a teaching assistant, earned her master’s degree in Digital Audiovisual Post-Production from the School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication.
The thesis project through which she achieved this milestone is titled: “Audiovisual Narrative in Vertical Format: An Analysis of Changes in Meaning and Content.” In this project, she analyzes the changes in audiovisual pieces adapted to the vertical format and raises questions from the perspective of users of the most popular social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. She provides insights into viewer perception and identifies optimal adaptation parameters for content and meaning.
Caballero mentions that she chose this topic after noticing a significant increase in audiovisual content in new social media formats. Furthermore, as someone involved in content creation, Caballero recognizes the importance of analyzing these changes and proposing appropriate strategies for adapting videos.
Caballero highlights the value of the knowledge she gained during her master’s program and the opportunity to take classes alongside national and international professionals with extensive professional experience. Currently, Caballero is in charge of communications for the school and teaches practical courses in the design and audiovisual production programs.
