Photography as a professional tool takes centre stage in a new student exhibition at FADCOM

FADCOM impulsa el arte - VILLAFUERTE

With the aim of introducing students to the challenges of photographic production for the media and advertising, the Media Production degree programme opened the ‘Photography for the Media’ exhibition on 8 July, a showcase of work produced by students under the guidance of lecturer Ronald Villafuerte.

The exhibition, held at FADCOM, presents a selection of product photography, portraits, sunset landscapes and photojournalism, showcasing the learning process and the application of fundamental techniques such as composition, lighting and digital retouching. Each project addresses specific objectives of visual production.

Whilst some images were designed to convey the characteristics of a product, others focus on demonstrating technical and narrative mastery of photography applied to different communicational contexts. The exhibition forms part of the course’s academic activities and aims to strengthen the professional skills of future audiovisual communicators through experiences that simulate real-life cases of advertising production and visual communication.

Through initiatives such as this, FADCOM promotes the exhibition of academic work as part of the educational process, enabling the university community to see the results achieved in the classroom and the development of technical skills applied to professional settings.
