The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) held a master class specializing in multiband compression, aimed at students and participants interested in strengthening their knowledge of audio post-production and mastering.
The workshop was led by Giorgi Kutev, who, over the course of two days, addressed the independent handling of different frequency ranges to achieve mixes with greater clarity, balance, consistency, and impact. Participants were able to delve deeper into one of the fundamental tools in audio post-production processes, understanding how dynamic control improves the performance of a mix and enables them to make technical decisions with greater precision. The master class took place on Tuesday, August 4, and Thursday, August 6, 2026, in FADCOM’s Laboratory 104, and was attended by approximately 20 people.
These types of sessions complement academic training through practical and specialized experiences, introducing students to the tools and methodologies used in professional audiovisual production and post-production processes.
