Lourdes Pilay receives distinction for her doctoral thesis on design and cultural heritage at the University of Lisbon

On March 8, teacher Lourdes Pilay presented her public test of the Doutoramento em Design, carried out at the University of Lisbon, as part of the closing of her doctoral studies. The defense of the theme Design and Cultural Heritage.

Strategies for the valuation and communication of the architectural heritage of Guayaquil, is a contribution to the safeguarding and transmission of local heritage from the perspective of graphic design.

His thesis analyzes different case studies and reflects on the observation of architectural elements and forms of Guayaquil as objects of communication. The oral presentation of the topic was evaluated by a select panel of academics from the University of Lisbon (Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts), University of Aveiro and the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, professionals with extensive and recognized experience in teaching and research, linked to areas of design and fine arts, the candidate obtained approval with distinction.
