On Monday, November 29, the Comicteca was reopened at the Guayaquil Municipal Library. The opening featured exhibitions and lectures; the School of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated with a live demonstration of comic book and cartoon creation by representatives from the Graphic Design program.
Illustrators José Cruz, Emilio Álvarez, and Michelle Villao shared their experiences with comics and illustrated stories with event attendees while they drew. The Comicteca aims to be a cultural space for young people where they can have fun and learn in the same place. All rooms of the Municipal Library are expected to reopen gradually.
