FADCOM enhances its students’ education in collaboration with a Fulbright specialist

From 8 to 23 June 2026, ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) will welcome Dr Stephanie Raible, a Fulbright specialist and associate professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware, as part of an academic initiative aimed at strengthening the strategic and management skills of future professionals in the creative industries. Dr Raible’s visit forms part of an international collaboration that seeks to contribute to the process of updating the curriculum for FADCOM’s degree programmes by incorporating contemporary approaches related to entrepreneurship, sustainability and value creation in the creative sectors.

The initiative stems from an institutional analysis that identified the need to strengthen students’ administrative and strategic management skills. The results of internal research showed that, in addition to developing creative and technical skills, future professionals require tools to understand the economic value of their projects, manage resources, identify market opportunities and maximise the impact of their proposals. During her time at ESPOL, the specialist is holding meetings with lecturers, senior staff and students, as well as taking part in academic activities aimed at reviewing content, methodologies and approaches that can be incorporated across the board into the modules of the various degree programmes at FADCOM.

Dr Raible has an outstanding international track record in research and entrepreneurship education. Her work focuses on the study of everyday forms of entrepreneurship linked to communities, sustainability, social purpose and the creative arts. Furthermore, she has led social entrepreneurship and global learning initiatives in the United States, Europe and Asia, and has been recognised as a Fulbright Scholar, a Fulbright Specialist and one of the world’s top business lecturers. Her presence offers an opportunity to enrich students’ education through an interdisciplinary approach, where design, communication and the arts engage in dialogue with entrepreneurship and strategy.

In this way, FADCOM continues to promote an education that is aligned with current trends in the professional world and the demands of the global creative industries. Through such international partnerships, the faculty reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation, internationalisation and the development of skills that enable its students to create sustainable, relevant projects that have an impact on society.
