The exhibition ‘Arte en Barro’, an exhibition that presents the works of the students of Art History of FADCOM, was successfully inaugurated. This activity is part of the linking programmes carried out by the ESPOL by the Decanato de Vinculación.
The opening ceremony was attended by municipal authorities and beneficiary artisans, who shared their progress and experiences with regard to this initiative that seeks to rescue ancestral knowledge, promote the circular artisan economy and highlight the talent of the students who participated in the project.
Víctor Cantos and María de los Ángeles Custoja, teachers of Art History, encouraged the students to get actively involved in the workshop to create handmade pieces, giving shape to artistic pieces that will now be exhibited until the end of January 2024.
This exhibition is an opportunity for the community to appreciate the cultural richness reflected in this ancestral technique. The community in general will be able to visit the exhibition at Casa Museo de Samborondón from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00.
