I Festival de Animación Kuyuy
KUYUY takes its name from the Quechua word "kuyuy", meaning "movement" – a concept that connects with the very essence of animation: bringing images to life, transforming ideas and building worlds through movement.
KUYUY is a university animation festival organised by ESPOL’s Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM), serving as a meeting place for the next generation of animators, where stories, techniques and diverse perspectives come to life. A festival for sharing, experimenting and discovering new ways of animating, celebrating emerging talent and animation as an artistic language capable of connecting cultures, ideas and people.
