On Saturday, October 21, GameJamPlus, the international videogame development marathon, took place at Epico Gye's headquarters. The event included talks by two distinguished professors from the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of the ESPOL.
Dr. Iria Cabrera, Ph.D., gave a talk entitled "Introduction to Texturing with Adobe Substance Painter", which offered participants the opportunity to learn tricks and techniques to transform flat surfaces into three-dimensional works of art, regardless of their level of experience.
M.Sc. Elizabeth Elizalde presented a talk on "Experiences in the development of educational video games for girls in the first years of school", which explored how technology can make the educational process more attractive and effective for students, addressing creativity, interactive learning and the keys to developing effective educational games.
The talks given by FADCOM faculty at GameJamPlus is an example of ESPOL's commitment to the development of the video game industry in Ecuador. ESPOL offers educational programs in the creative area, and is committed to the training of highly qualified professionals who can contribute to the growth of the industry in the country.
